Chianti and Tuscany

Villa I Barronci sits in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, making it possible to alternate days in the countryside with some of Tuscany's best-known destinations. Florence is about 15–20 minutes away by car, Siena around 40 minutes and San Gimignano around 50 minutes. Antinori nel Chianti Classico is about five minutes away, while Greve, Panzano, Radda and Castellina can be combined into a longer route through vineyards, olive groves and historic centres.

Staying in the Chianti countryside makes it easy to combine art cities and villages with time at the resort. Plan the main visit in advance, leave room for scenic stops on the way and ask reception for practical suggestions if you want to combine the day with a winery, a meal or another stop in the area. This way the journey becomes part of the Tuscan experience rather than simply a transfer.
